چکیده

Cordia dichotoma Forst. (F. Boraginaceae) has been traditionally used for the management of a variety human ailments. In our earlier work, antidiabetic activity methanolic bark extract C. (MECD) reported. this paper, two flavonoid molecules were isolated (by column chromatography) and identified IR, NMR mass spectroscopy/spectrometry) from MECD with an aim to investigate their effectiveness. Molecular docking ADMET studies carried out using AutoDock Vina software Swiss ADME online tool, respectively. The flavonoids as 3,5,7,3?,4?-tetrahydroxy-4-methoxyflavone-3-O-l-rhamnopyranoside 5,7,3?-trihydroxy-4-methoxyflavone-7-O-l-rhamnopyranoside (quercitrin). Docking revealed promising binding affinity lysosomal ?-glucosidase pancreatic ?-amylase acceptable properties. Based on computational studies, study reports potential predictive pharmacokinetics profile.

Anti-plasmodial flavonoids from the stem bark of Erythrina abyssinica.

The ethyl acetate extract of the stem bark of Erythrina abyssinica showed anti-plasmodial activity against the chloroquine-sensitive (D6) and chloroquine-resistant (W2) strains of Plasmodium falciparum with IC(50) values of 7.9+/-1.1 and 5.3+/-0.7 microg/ml, respectively. From this extract, a new chalcone, 2',3,4,4'-tetrahydroxy-5-prenylchalcone (trivial name 5-prenylbutein) and a new flavanone...
